OREANDA-NEWS. Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) announced that its new nonstop flights between Orlando, Florida, and Sao Paulo, Brazil, will be available for booking through www.delta.com beginning June 6. Delta will serve the two cities with four weekly flights, starting Dec. 19, 2015.

“This new route not only offers Brazilian travelers a direct flight option to one of the most popular family vacation destinations, but also represents the addition of a new gateway to other prominent destinations in the United States,” said Nicolas Ferri, Delta’s vice president for Latin America and the Caribbean. “From December 2015, Delta will have four U.S. gateways to Sao Paulo, giving customers the option of flying through Atlanta, New York, Detroit and now Orlando.”

The Sao Paulo-Orlando flight will offer convenient connections to nine major U.S. destinations, including Atlanta (ATL), Boston (BOS), Detroit (DTW), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), Minneapolis (MSP), New York (LGA and JFK) and Raleigh (RDU).

Furthermore, Delta’s strategic alliance with GOL Linhas A?reas Inteligentes extends the reach of the Orlando-Sao Paulo service to 20 Brazilian destinations and provides seamless connections at Guarulhos International Airport. Customers will benefit from access to GOL’s network, which has 600 weekly codeshare flights to a variety of Brazilian cities.

The new service will be operated using a Boeing 767-300 aircraft with 35 seats in Delta One, 32 seats in Delta Comfort+ and 143 seats in the Main Cabin.
