OREANDA-NEWS. General Motors increased discounts for the models sold in the Russian market in the run-up of the closedown of production in the country.

On 30 May, GM increased suggested discounts for a number of Opel models, the brand representative told to Vedomosti newspaper. "We monitor the market situation and react accordingly," - he explained. Maximum discount for the Mokka is now 361,000 roubles. (previously – 330,000 roubles for the initial price of 1.16 million roubles., listed at the site), for the Astra GTC – 350,000 roubles (instead of 310,000 roubles for the price of 1.15 million roubles.), for the Zafira Tourer – 550,000 roubles  (previously - up to 435,000 roubles for the price of 1.49 million roubles.). The sale includes mostly vehicles of 2014 production year. In June, the program was added with the Antara of 2015 production year (starting price is 1.56 million roubles), which is offered with 250,000 rouble discount. This compares to 450,000 rouble discount for the same model, produced last year. 

The maximum discounts for some Chevrolet vehicles were also increased in June, the brand representative said. The discount for the Aveo grew  from 180,000 to 220,000 roubles. (Initial price of the sedan is 668,000 roubles), for the Orlando - from 340,000 to 400,000 roubles (prices start from 1.26 million roubles.). Discounts for other Chevrolet mass models (the Niva, manufactured by JV GM-AVTOVAZ is not included in the program) and Opel vehicles have not changed.
