Shvabe summarized its achievements at Medima Siberia Exhibition
OREANDA-NEWS. Shvabe Holding presented innovative medical devices at Medima Siberia, an international medical exhibition.
In Novosibirsk, a major national research and business center, Holding's specialists, in addition to the most popular medical devices, presented prototypes of the latest medical devices manufactured by Shvabe, in particular products manufactured by Yalamov Urals Optical & Mechanical Plant JSC and Zverev Krasnogorsky Zavod OJSC (KMZ OJSC).
During three days when the exhibition worked, over 200 experts visited Shvabe's booth. They included the Deputy Minister of Health in the Novosibirsk Region, as well as head doctors and neonatologists from maternity clinics of Novosibirsk, Barnaul, Kemerovo, Tomsk, and other cities. They all gave favourable reviews in relation to Shvabe medical equipment. However, the negotiations expected to take place between officials from the Ministry of Health of the Novosibirsk Region and the heads of several clinics to discuss procurement of Shvabe products in 2015-2016 can be considered to be the key achievement at the Medima Siberia Exhibition.
Recall that the products of Urals Plant were demonstrated by Shvabe-Novosibirsk LLC, plant's official representative in that region. In total, nine devices were demonstrated, including neonatal intensive care incubators and neonatal heaters, a neonatal table, an artificial respiration unit, a transport patient monitor and a defibrillator-monitor.
Apart from neonatal equipment, the Holding also develops and manufactures resuscitation, anesthesia, laboratory, ophthalmologic, and gynecologic devices. These fields were represented at the exhibition by another Shvabe exhibitor, Zverev Krasnogorsky Zavod OJSC. Its specialists demonstrated a slit lamp designed for stereoscopic examination in ophthalmology, a colposcope used for diagnostic examination in gynecology, and an incinerator designed to destroy needles, which is needed for safe disposal of needles from disposable syringes.
"The main goal why we participated in Novosibirsk exhibition was to demonstrate our capabilities and achievements in manufacture of neonatal and other devices offered by our Holding, attract the attention of the Ministries of Health in the Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, and Tomsk regions, in the Altai Territory and in the Republic of Altai, as well as the attention of doctors within these areas to our products providing a good and favorable alternative to foreign medical devices. Until now, Shvabe has supplied over 15,000 units of neonatal equipment alone to over 600 obstetrical clinical all over the country. Now, as imports substitution programs are being implemented in the country, the demand for our devices grows. We believe that we will be able to satisfy the needs of regions for equipping municipal and regional hospitals with vital medical devices," commented Anatoly Sludnykh, Deputy General Director for Sales, Foreign Trade and Marketing, Shvabe JSC.
