Delta Boosts Connectivity from Stockholm to the Big Apple and Beyond
OREANDA-NEWS. June 05, 2015. Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) will be offering customers flying from Stockholm’s Arlanda Airport smoother connections to a number of U.S. destinations this summer via its hub at the newly extended Terminal 4 at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Effective June 6, 2015, Delta will operate four weekly nonstop flights between Stockholm and New York-JFK in conjunction with joint venture partner, Air France KLM, using a Boeing 757-200 aircraft. Customers connecting to destinations including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Orlando will benefit from same-terminal transfers thanks to the new \\$175 million extension of Terminal 4 at JFK.
“Swedish tourists rank in the top 20 international visitors to the United States; this summer we will offer more than 1,300 weekly seats between Stockholm and New York, with around 40% of these passengers connecting to other U.S. cities,” said Perry Cantarutti, Delta’s senior vice president Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Last year U.S. visitor numbers increased by more than 10 percent and the stronger dollar means more U.S. tourists are coming to Sweden. The enhanced connectivity at JFK will make it easier for them to fly here.”
