At an international conference in Vilnius, the application of the responsible lending requirements will be discussed; the Vice-President of the ECB will participate
OREANDA-NEWS. On 3 July 2015, the Bank of Lithuania is preparing an international conference, dedicated to the discussion of tools of macro prudential regulation, related to mortgages.
It is expected that this event will bring together about 50–100 attendees from abroad: high-level macro prudential policy makers from European and international institutions, central bank representatives, academics and experts. The conference’s presenters will include also Vitor Const?ncio, Vice-President of the European Central Bank (ECB).
A meeting is planned between the Vice-President and Vitas Vasiliauskas, Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania.
This conference provides a unique opportunity for its participants to share knowledge, experience and present their ideas related to the important topic of macro prudential regulation. During the conference, expert assessments will be presented, as well as scientific research and the experience of countries in identifying, implementing and using these tools of macro prudential regulation, related to mortgages.

Registration for conference participants and journalists wishing to observe it will take place until 15 June of this year.
