OREANDA-NEWS. This year, there is no and won’t be any seasonal rise in prices for used vehicles. Moreover, second-hand vehicles are getting cheaper slowly but surely - on average by 3-4% per month. This conclusion was made by AUTOSTAT analysts, based on an analysis of the monthly monitoring of prices for used vehicles.

According to the agency’s data, the maximum increase in prices for used vehicles was registered in January, when it reached 20%-30% for different segments. In February, prices went down. E.g. an average price for three-year-old vehicles decreased by 4.6% in February, by 3.3% in March, by 1.6% in April and by 4.2% in May. As a result, the average price of 100 most popular models of three years old has already decreased by 13% this year and continues to decline.

According to the analysts, the Ford Focus remains the most popular foreign car in the age of three in the aftermarket. Its average price, which was 656,000 roubles in January, is 581,000 roubles now (-11.4%). Owners of the popular Korean Hyundai Solaris of three years old asked on average 530,000 roubles in February, and were ready to bate to 458,000 roubles in May (-13.5%). The Czech Skoda Octavia has fallen in price by 15% for the past three months - from 777,000 to 658,000 roubles. Average prices for a three-year-old Toyota Camry decreased by 16% during the same period – from 1,316,000 roubles to 1,106,000 roubles. The situation with other models is similar.
