Plant Impact plc (AIM: PIM), an agricultural bioscience company that develops and markets crop enhancement and specialty nutrition products, is pleased to announce two senior management appointments to drive the Company's international growth. The appointment of Daryl Thomas and John McGillivray will be effective from 1 June 2015.

Daryl Thomas joins Plant Impact as Senior Director, Global Marketing and Business Development. He has substantial commercial and industry experience following 20 years at Syngenta where he held a number of senior business unit and commercial leadership roles. From 2001 he led Syngenta's Integration and long-term planning programs following the merger between the Agribusiness divisions of Zeneca and Novartis.  He subsequently was appointed to lead the Global Materials Protection and Home Care business units before assuming leadership for Syngenta's Sugarbeet Seeds business (Hilleshog) for four years, generating sales of more than \\$200m and with overall responsibility for more than 200 staff. Prior to joining Plant Impact, his most recent position at Syngenta was as Global Head of Commercial Excellence, where he oversaw Syngenta's commercial leverage programs in pricing, marketing, selling and forecasting across Syngenta's Regional and Country business units.  His proven expertise in growing market share and leading strategic marketing activities will be a valuable addition to the Plant Impact management team.

John McGillivray is appointed as Commercial Director, Europe Middle East Africa.  He has 30 years of commercial experience of managing businesses, teams and distribution relationships across the agrochemical, farming and biofuel industries.  His previous roles include Business Manager at Wilmar Bioethanol, and various Country Managing Director roles at Syngenta and its predecessor companies.  John's extensive commercial leadership experience in markets as diverse as Africa, Middle East, Asia and Australia puts him in a strong position to manage the disparate market practices across the Company's EMEA business.  Having managed successful businesses and product portfolios ranging from \\$30m - \\$350m in annual turnover, John understands the commercial opportunities and challenges of a growing organisation like Plant Impact.
