Africa Development Bank to participate in the World Economic Forum on Africa
The African Development Bank will participate in several sessions.
AfDB President Donald Kaberuka is scheduled to participate in a session on Friday, June 5 titled “Africa Economic Outlook” alongside the likes of World Bank Vice-President for Africa, Makhtar Diop; and Rwanda’s Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Claver Gatete.
The Bank’s Special Envoy on Gender, Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi, will launch a report on women board directors in Africa on Wednesday, June 3, 2015.
Africa Competitive Report 2015, published jointly by the AfDB, WEF, and World Bank, will be unveiled on Thursday, June 4, 2015. The report highlights, among other things, factors necessary to ensure the continent’s competitiveness in the global market.
The WEF brings together world leaders from business, government, and civil society, to evaluate Africa’s progress, and share insights on current issues. The forum also identifies innovative methodologies of accelerating inclusive growth that promotes sustainable development on the continent.
