OREANDA-NEWS. According to Auto-Dealer-SPb agency, 38,714 new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles were sold in St. Petersburg in January-April 2015, which is 39% less than for the same period last year. In April, the market reduced by 44% - dealers sold 10,224 vehicles in the second Spring month.

All Top-10 brands had negative results in April. The least decrease was registered by Hyundai (-4%), whose bestseller – Solaris- is the most popular vehicle in the northern capital this year.

Renault remains the market leader. Over 90% of brand sales in St. Petersburg come from for three models – the Duster, the Logan and the Sandero. Lada took the fourth place, having pressed Nissan, which decreased sales of two most popular models in the city – the Almera and the X-Trail – in April.

As per the results of the first four months of 2015, the share of St. Petersburg in the total new vehicle market in Russia is 7.5%.
