OREANDA-NEWS. June 01, 2015. Topical issues relating to the development of the global and regional economic situation were discussed  in Minsk in Central and Eastern European IMF Constituency and Belgian WB Constituency meetings at deputies’ level.

Mr. Pavel Kallaur, Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, Mr. Vladimir Zinovsky, Economy Minister, and delegates from relevant state administration bodies participated in the meetings on behalf of the Republic of Belarus which enjoys the membership in the above-mentioned constituencies. High-level delegates from central banks, ministries of finance and economy, and government agencies of member states of the constituencies acted as representatives thereof.

Mr. Min Zhu, Deputy Managing Director, IMF, Ms. Snezana Stoiljkovic, Vice President, WB Group, Mr. Philip Gerson, Deputy Director, European Department, IMF, and Mr. Hans Timmer, Chief Economist, Europe and Central Asia, WB made reports to the participants in the meetings about current economic situation, new global and regional challenges, and difficult aspects of economic development.

In addition, Mr. Ibrahim Canakci, Executive Director, IMF and Mr. Franciscus Godts, Executive Director, WB informed participants during panel discussions about recent developments relating to policy issues of the above-mentioned international organizations.
