OREANDA-NEWS. May 29, 2015. Microsystems announced today the promotion of Stacey Kacek, from Vice President, Chief Technology Officer to the position of Chief Executive Officer of the company.

Kacek joined Microsystems in 2013 in the CTO position following positions with GE, where she was general manager of the Asset Intelligence group; Smart Signal, where she was the Vice President, Product Development; and a long, escalating stint with Motorola in engineering, software development, and general business management.

Concentric Equity Partners, a private investment firm in Chicago is a large investor in Microsystems. Ian Ross from Concentric Equity Partners and Chairman of Microsystems Board said of the appointment, "Stacey Kacek represents the future direction of Microsystems. Her leadership as CTO in developing the future roadmap of the Microsystems product lineup, including launching the latest and first cloud-based Microsystems product, Patent Companion, combined with her relentless focus on innovation in every part of the business, made selecting Stacey to lead Microsystems going forward an easy choice. We look forward to continuing and exciting growth from Microsystems."

Kacek said, "It is an exciting time to be at Microsystems and I'm honored to lead this group of innovators going forward. Our product roadmap to serve our customers in new ways, our continuing expansion into new business territory and markets, and our focus on expanding our team with the best and brightest people in all functions makes this the most enjoyable challenge yet of my career. We are focused on continuing to drive the future of the document technology business and are committed to providing revolutionary and powerful solutions and delivering them with the exceptional service that Microsystems customers expect from us."

Kacek holds a BS in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

The Microsystems product lineup currently includes four software solutions for management of complex documents typically used in the legal and life sciences verticals: DocXtools; EagleEye; Patent Companion; and 3BClean. These products meet the complex demands associated with all aspects of the document production life cycle -- authoring, review, proofreading, editing, and distribution. As CTO, Kacek has driven broad innovation efforts into Microsystems product lineup, expanding existing products, launching new product efforts, and supporting mobile and cloud computing.
