Tele2 Autopay gathering pace
OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, has summed up results of using Autopay. Over 2.3 mn clients of Tele2 connected the service to automatically top up their mobile account by a card of any world bank. Around 15 thou subscribers are signing up for Autopay monthly.
The number of users increased by 60% from April 2014 to April 2015. Over this time payments by bank cards totaled almost 40% of all other ways to top up mobile accounts. An average sum of Tele2 top-ups exceeded 100 rubles. Autopay users normally exhibit ARPU that exceeds other clients’ rate by 8%.
Tele2 subscribers from Chelyabinsk are more active in connecting the Autopay service – around 300 thou topups per month. The second place was taken by Rostov-on-Don where around 248.5 thou transactions were made. St. Petersburg has taken the third place with 244 thou payments. Syktyvkar, Izhevsk and Arkhangelsk lead in users-to-subscribers ratio: 13%, 13% and 12% correspondently.
The Autopay service provides Tele2 subscribers with an opportunity to automatically top up mobile account when the remaining amount drops to a threshold amount, which can be 10, 30 or 50 rubles depending on the choice of subscribers. Very soon all Autopay users will be able to activate a payment on schedule and set a day of the next top-up themselves.

Tele2 and Sberbank launched the Autopay service in autumn 2012. In April 2014 Autopay became available to more clients thanks to partnership between Tele2 and VTB24.
