OREANDA-NEWS. AvtoVAZ, which plans to start mass production of the Lada Vesta at the facilities of the Izhevsk automobile plant in September, disclosed information on preparation of the vehicle for the Russian conditions.

According to Za Rulyom.RF, AVTOVAZ intends to improve adaptation of the new model to the Russian operation condition as compared to other Lada vehicles. The brand-new will be better adapted for the Russian climate and road conditions. AVTOVAZ plans to equip the Lada Vesta with energy-intensive and durable suspension with improved ride and stability characteristics. The vehicle will get engine and engine compartment shields for damage, dirt and dust protection. Sills and floorpan of the model will be gravel-proof. The design of the doors will prevent from snow entering the cab while opening.   The Vesta body will be galvanized, the plant guarantees the corrosion resistance of the body for at least 6 years from the date of production. Three engines of the model with capacity from 87 hp to 114 hp will be specially adjusted for Russian climatic conditions, and the petrol tank will be increased up to 55 liters.

We should remind that the Lada Vesta production will start in September 2015 at the Izhevsk Automobile Plant. The brand new will be assembled on the new Lada B platform, developed by AVTOVAZ in collaboration with Renault-Nissan, on the new AIMS production line. The Lada Vesta will go on sale on 25 November and about 5,000 vehicles will be assembled till the end of the year. The price of the model is planned to be at the level of 500,000-550,000 roubles. AVTOVAZ manufacturing facilities in Izhevsk enable to produce up to 120,000 Lada Vesta per year, including sedans and hatchbacks of this model.
