Rosatom participates in the 21st international fair and conference ICCI-2015 in Turkey
OREANDA-NEWS. On May 6, 2015 The 21st International Energy and Environment Fair and Conference ICCI-2015 was opened in Istanbul, Turkey.
Turkey's
Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz delivered the
opening speech. During his speech Minister highlighted that nuclear
energy nowadays became inevitable part of Turkey. As he said, despite
statements of nuclear opponents this type of energy generation has
apparent and substantial advantages. First of all, these are energy
efficiency and feasibility. Thus, Turkey will save USD 7,2 bln annually
when first NPP starts to operate. We also should not forget about
unprecedentedly high level of safety that, particularly, is implemented
in project of AKKUYU NPP.
ICCI is considered one of the most significant platforms in the energy sector which is held with the support of the Energy and Natural Resources Ministry, the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).
For three days more than 200 presentations within 36 sessions will be held during the ICCI 2015 conference which is expected to have the participation of around 400 companies from 35 countries. The sessions will include topics from solar, wind, hydroelectricity, electricity distribution mechanisms and clean energy options.
