Tele2 launches 3G networks in Siberia
OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, has announced commercial launches of 3G networks in Omsk and Kemerovo. Now the company’s subscribes may use high-speed wireless Internet at affordable prices in 18 regions.
Tele2 carried out large-scale works on construction of 3G network in Omsk and Kemerovo regions. The operator upgraded switching centers, built new base stations and installed additional equipment. Technical works on a launch of high-speed wireless Internet in these regions involved over 900 mn facilities of network infrastructure.
Tele2 now provides a stable coverage of the 3G network in Omsk and in the following residential areas: Novomoskovka, Rostovka, Druzhino, Goryachiy Klyuch, Vkhodnoy, Luzino, Novoomskiy and Troitskoye. In Omsk Region the 3G network is available to the residents of Tara, Isilkul and Kalachinsk.
In Kemerovo Region the 3G network is now covering Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Kiselevsk, Prokopyevsk and Topki. The company’s technical department is planning to have launched 3G in several cities of Kemerovo Region by the end of 2015.
The operator is planning to expand network coverage in these regions by providing high-speed wireless Internet to as many clients as possible.
Tele2 is offering three new package tariffs to users of high-speed wireless Internet – “Black”, “Dark Black”, “The Blackest”. Tariffs differ in volume of included Internet traffic, a number of minutes and SMS. All products are traditionally simple, do not contain any hidden conditions and allow Tele2 subscribers to use modern telecommunication services at affordable prices.
Apart from profitable tariffs, the operator has envisaged different tariff options: “Internet bag”, “Internet briefcase”, “Internet suitcase”. These options are created for subscribers who want to use high-speed wireless Internet but prefer their current tariff.

The 4G network already exists in Tula.
