The subvention budget is of 610 million lei in 2015, of which 110 million lei are provided by EU ENPARD Programme. Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Ion Sula said that 230 million lei were meant for subsidising investments of 2014. For the first time, agricultural producers will be able to benefit from a maximum limit of 2.5 million lei and cooperatives – of up to 4 million lei in 2015. „The regulation sets clear conditions to distribute subventions, so that the agricultural producers to benefit from these equitably and transparently,” Sula said.

The document also stipulates more subsidisation levels such as boosting credit of maximum 100,000 lei or risk ensuring of up to 300,000 lei. The regulation also includes priority support measures: postharvest infrastructure, where the ceiling is of 2.5 million lei, green house construction - 2 million lei.

Thus, the regulation’s provisions will contribute to ensure synergy between the state’s policy on modernising the agro-food sector and instruments to carry out them, optimise mandatory documents and additional ones submitted in order to receive the financial support. The procedures to receive, examine, authorise and control over the efficiency of use of budgetary means will be improved, as well as the balanced use of the subsidisation fund will be ensured in full correlation with the state’s development priorities in the agro-food sector.

Over 15,000 beneficiaries have received subventions in amount of about 2.2 billion lei over the past four years.

The actions and legal initiatives, proposed by Chiril Gaburici on 19 May, to solve farmers’ problems, were backed by the parliament speaker during a meeting with representatives of agricultural farmers.
