OREANDA-NEWS. Total gas sales volume by Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. for the month of April 2015 came to about 1,324.913 million m3, up 1.6% from April 2014.

In the residential sector, volume totaled 354.612 million m3, up 3.1% from April 2014, due to lower average temperature compared to that in the same period last year, leading to the increased demand for water-heating.

In the business sector (consisting of commercial, public, and medical use), volume totaled 201.967 million m3, almost equal (up 0.2%) to that in April 2014.

In the industrial sector, volume totaled 589.047 million m3, up 1.2% from April 2014, due to the increased demand for power generation.

Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled 179.286 million m3, up 1.7% from April 2014, due to the increased demand of the other companies.
