Volkswagen plant in Kaluga plans to launch production of the new Volkswagen Polo Sedan, Volkswagen Group Rus press service informed TASS agency, having added that an official launch date would be announced later. According to a source close to the company, the first new Polo vehicles will be assembled at the Kaluga plant in May 2015. The car will be an updated version of the Volkswagen Polo Sedan, which has been produced at Volkswagen plant in Kaluga since 2007. There is still no information about the changes expected in the vehicle. 

Volkswagen plant in Kaluga, produces the Volkswagen Polo Sedan, the Volkswagen Tiguan and the Skoda Rapid. Production capacity of the enterprise is 225,000 vehicles per year. Volkswagen Group Rus has been manufacturing vehicles in Kaluga since November 2007. The plant employs about 5,000 people.
