The SE “Posta Moldovei”, with the support of the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications launched the service of international money transfers between the Republic of Moldova and Spain, and also between our country and Portugal. The prices for these services are 3-4 times lower than those available on the market.

The Director General of SE “Posta Moldovei” Serghei Nastas thanked all people involved in the new services launching, and expressed his hope that the expeditious electronic money transfer with Spain and Portugal will be successful among the citizens. “To make money transfer, a person may address to any post office of the country with which the agreement was signed by specifying that he/she wants to make the transfer through SE “Po?ta Moldovei”. The relevant information will reach the Republic of Moldova in about 20 minutes and the beneficiary will be able to withdraw the money at any post office in the country: in foreign currency or in Moldavian lei” Serghei Nastas specified.

Attending the event, the Deputy Minister of ICT Vitalie Ciolac mentioned that the new service is a reply to the needs of Moldovans who are working abroad. “The Ministry of Information Technology and Communications calls for further reforming of SE “Posta Moldovei” according to the enterprise development plan for the period 2013-2016, which provides the modernization of existing infrastructure and diversification of the range of provided services. One of the main pillars is the development of banking and financial services”, Vitalie Ciolac declared.

As a matter of clarification, earlier the services of electronic money transfers with Italy and Romania were launched. Up to now, there were made transfers amounting to 3 million euros from Italy to the Republic of Moldova, and the transfers from the Republic of Moldova to Romania - 8 thousand euros and 40 thousand lei.
