OREANDA-NEWS. AVTOVAZ is satisfied with the quality of the automotive component supplies from enterprises of United Automobile Technologies (OAT) Group. This was announced by the president of AVTOVAZ Bo Andersson after a meeting with the governor of Ulyanovsk region Sergey Morozov and OAT CEO Vasily Lapotko.

According to Bo Andersson, after Oboronprom Corporation replaced management of OAT, the Group provides uninterrupted supplies of components for AVTOVAZ. "We had a number of tasks. The first is to stabilize supplies. We’ve had no problem with the rhythm of shipment from OAT for the last 5 weeks. The second is to improve the corporate culture - there are good results here, too. The third is to get clear understanding of the cost, profit and loss system. Flow of funds at OAT enterprise in Ulyanovsk has recently become more transparent. And finally, one of the tasks is to develop new products. This is necessary; otherwise the Ulyanovsk enterprise would be uncompetitive. AVTOVAZ will continue to support OAT in all lines of development. This Group of companies is the largest AVTOVAZ supplier. Every day we receive 700 items of parts from our partner. 139 components are being developed for our priority project – the Lada Vesta. I am grateful to OAT management for quality development and productivity gain. I was impressed with the improvements, which have been made for the last 1.5 months, but there is still a lot of work".

OAT is one of the largest industrial corporations in the region. The sales of Dimitrovgrad enterprises of OAT Group amounted to 9.3 billion roubles in 2014. Over 7,000 people are employed here.
