OREANDA-NEWS. KAMAZ is considering possibility to launch truck assembly in China, KAMAZ CEO Sergey Kogogin said, TASS agency reports.
"Today we give serious consideration to China, where there are clusters for the production of automotive components, which we use at the Russian enterprise in Naberezhnye Chelny" - he said, having added, that the main task for the company in this case is to "shift production, develop facilities in order to avoid the currency risk”. Mr. Kogogin said, that the sales of the company were hard to predict due to the instability of the market and exchange rates.
Regarding the investment program for 2015, the head of KAMAZ said, that it had been planned to invest 15 billion roubles. "Such volume of investment is unlikely - it will be revised after we place bonds," - he added.
