OREANDA-NEWS. From May 13 to May 15, IBA Group participated in the international exhibition and conference on city public transport ElectroTrans. Now in its fifth year, the event was devoted to public transport upgrade and development. The show was held as a part of the first Russian public transport week in Moscow, Russia.

ElectroTrans gathered public transport specialists and managers, representatives of light rail transport operators, official authorities, research institutes, and mass media. The event was organized with the support of the federal and local government authorities, professional associations, social movements, and urban transport operators. The program of ElectroTrans 2015 included a number of conferences, workshops, and roundtable discussions.

The event gathered more than 70 exhibiting companies from Austria, Belarus, Czech Republic, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Russia. Over 2000 guests from around the world attended the show.

At its booth, IBA Group presented IBA AFC, the Automated Fare Collection system developed and implemented for Minsktrans, the main transport operator of Minsk, the capital of Belarus. IBA AFC System covers the entire Minsk city public transport, including underground (metro), buses, trolley–buses, trams, and Minsk railway city lines. In March 2015, European IT & Software Excellence Awards recognized IBA–developed fare collection system (AFC) for Minsk public transport as best Vertical Solution of the Year.

At the conference on modern technologies of fare collection and passenger traffic management, IBA delivered a presentation about the company's experience of using the MIFARE PLUS technology to create an AFC system in a modern city.
