Free Scuba And Surfing Equipment Transportation For Aeroflot Beaches-Bound Passengers
OREANDA-NEWS. Aeroflot passengers flying to/from Male, Bangkok, Phuket, Ho Chi Minh up to Oct 24, 2015 (Nov 24, 2015 for return flights) get extra baggage allowance to carry diving and surfing equipment free of charge.
In addition to Aeroflot’s standard baggage allowance one piece per passenger can be checked to carry certain water sports equipment. The equipment set to be transported for free should not exceed a weight of 23 kilos with no restrictions for the size. To assist wind- and wave-seekers, one set of surfing equipment will include a surfboard, leashes, a wetsuit, a pair of boots, other surfing accessories overall weighing no more than 5 kilos. As to divers, to be accepted for free transportation their set of apparel can contain a buoyancy compensator, a safety helmet, diving gloves, a wetsuit, diving boots or swim fins, pressure gauge, diving regulator (octopus), a mask, a snorkel.
Extra baggage allowance for surfing and diving equipment does not impact any other excess baggage fees if imposed, is not indicated in tickets and is granted at check-in. The service is available on Aeroflot flights and JSC Aeroflot-group flights under JSC’s commercial management. Passengers are advised to duly notify the air carrier through its contact center or sales offices prior to travelling. The service is not tendered on code-sharing flights operated by partner airlines.
