OREANDA-NEWS. Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) is boosting travel options for customers between  the Czech Republic and the United States, by restarting services to the Big Apple from Prague Ruzyne International Airport on May 22, 2015. Passengers travelling this summer will also be able to take advantage of improved connections at New York John F. Kennedy International Airport thanks to Delta’s enhanced Terminal 4.

The U.S. airline invested \\$175 million to add 11 gates in January this year, which enabled a number of domestic flights to move from Terminal 2 to the international Terminal 4. As a result, transfer times have been reduced resulting in improved convenience for customers. Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Boston are among the most popular onward destinations for passengers from Prague connecting through Delta’s JFK hub.

Flights from Prague will depart daily from May 22. Delta has scheduled a Boeing 767-300 aircraft with 225 seats on the route, which is operated in conjunction with SkyTeam partner Czech Airlines. Thanks to a longer operating period this year, Delta has increased capacity 8 percent compared to 2014.

“The investments we have made at New York-JFK will greatly improve the customer experience by offering domestic connections within Terminal 4,” said Perry Cantarutti, Delta’s senior vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. “When combined with our on-board service, including the roll-out of Wi-Fi and the wealth of entertainment options, we are confident our customers will enjoy flying Delta from Prague to the United States this summer.”
