airBaltic Launched Direct Flights from Frankfurt to Usedom Island
OREANDA-NEWS. The Latvian national airline airBaltic launched two new direct routes linking Frankfurt and Dortmund with the sunny German Island of Usedom in the Baltic Sea, marking the first time the airline offers direct flights between destinations both of which are outside of the Baltic States.
Christophe Viatte, Chief Commercial Officer: "The opening of these new routes linking Frankfurt and Dortmund with Usedom Island is an important occasion for airBaltic, as it paves the way for our expansion into the Baltic Sea region. In collaboration with our partners ArGe group we are delighted to offer this popular summer holiday destination to travellers from mainland Germany."
airBaltic flies once a week from Frankfurt and Dortmund to Heringsdorf, Usedom Island using Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft. A check-in fee will not apply on these flights and passengers will be offered a complimentary drink, such as water/tea/coffee, and snack while on board. The price of a one-way ticket for both destinations starts at EUR 149, including airport fees and transaction costs.
