OREANDA-NEWS. Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici has opted for creating an efficient dialogue between the academic institutions and public authorities. Gaburici made statement to this effect during his visit to the National Economic Researches Institute (INCE),  where he approached issues on the social, economic and demographic situation in Moldova. 

The prime minister said the economic development was one of three basic priorities of the government - national unity, law supremacy and sustainable economy. He expressed confidence that researches carried out by the specialists in economy and demography, including within INCE, were very important in working out strategies and state policies, especially in the social and economic sectors.

"We want to know your vision on issues related to the country's economic development, to see what we must include in our action plan on the matter, in order to achieve immediate results, as well as in the long run," he noted.

For almost two hours, the prime minister and his team of counselors discussed with INCE specialists in economy and demography priority measures on improving the economic situation and ensuring financial stability in Moldova, as well as solutions to overcome obstacles to the country's development.

INCE Director Alexandru Stratan submitted to the premier results of institution's activity and its collaboration with public authorities in the field - the main beneficiaries of studies and academic researches, carried out by the institution's employees. Stratan expressed INCE's willingness to further contribute to the country's multilateral development, including to elaborating of strategies and anti-crisis plans in relevant sectors.

The sides presented tendencies and forecasts of Moldova's economic evolution, factors influencing diverse social and economic processes, as well as proposals on measures due to be taken to improve the situation.

The INCE specialists said that currently it was particularly important to re-establish the people's trust both in state authorities and financial institutions. At the same time, it is necessary to apply measures to strengthen the institutional and normative framework, in order to promote efficient policies and improve quality of people's life.

In the context, Gaburici said the government was interested in the formation of an efficient dialogue between the academic institutions and public authorities, in order to better know opinions and forecasts of evolution in different sectors, as well as to take measures to overcome challenges, based on scientific evidence.

The sides agreed on maintaining a permanent communication, including through the Economic Council of the Prime Minister.
