Ian Irving, chief executive, Northrop Grumman Australia, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with 100 Mums to assist in increasing the gender balance and providing recruitment support, training and networking opportunities, with a particular focus on Australian women returning to the workplace.

100 Mums Chief Executive, Janine Lay-Flurrie said 100 Mums will provide Northrop Grumman Australia access to an untapped network of highly skilled women that are available for project work, ongoing part-time and full-time flexible roles. "There is a significant untapped resource in the Australian marketplace that could substantially benefit women, businesses and the economy," she said.

Irving noted that the Commonwealth of Australia's recently released Intergenerational Report stated that Australia's female participation rate is about 4 percent lower than New Zealand and Canada.
