CPChem shuts down Sweeny unit No. 22

OREANDA-NEWS. Chevron Phillips Chemical shut down its No. 22 ethylene unit at Sweeny, Texas Friday for planned maintenance, according to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

Emissions of ethylene, butadiene, propane, propylene and other materials are expected to continue through 20 May, according to the filing.

The unit was just restarted on 4 May following maintenance.
