OREANDA-NEWS. As a major German integrated telecommunications company, Telekom Deutschland can look back on numerous successes in its first five years. The former fixed-line division, T-Home, and the mobile communications company T-Mobile have turned into a company with "heart", whose particular strengths include its very own innovative power.

Technical innovation: Deutsche Telekom already covers approximately 82 percent of the population with LTE; by 2018 it will be 95 percent. LTE is already available with speeds of up to 300 Mbit/s and can be used on a range of smartphones. The migration to the modern IP network is also on track. Almost seven million customers already use this modern technology. Telekom Deutschland switches over ten thousand lines each week. By 2016, around 60 percent of lines will have been migrated to IP; by 2018 it will be all of them. The hybrid router has been successfully launched, with around 12,000 of these "plug and play" routers sold in the first four weeks alone. By using vectoring technology, Deutsche Telekom doubles the available speed to 100 Mbit/s for downloading and 40 Mbit/s for uploading. After just five years, Telekom Deutschland has clearly emerged as a success story.

Innovation in products: In September 2014, the German business gave the green light for the development of innovative rate plans with MagentaEINS, showing the company has its fingers on the pulse of the times. The package, comprising the mobile and fixed network as well as the Deutsche Telekom television service Entertain, won more than a million customers in nine short months. This result clearly exceeded the company's expectations. This internally developed rate plan is one of the most successful products of the last few years. At this year's CeBIT, the corresponding business customer version with cloud applications was launched and can be booked as of today.

Success story goes European: Thanks to this success, the MagentaEINS strategy has now also been adapted for the Deutsche Telekom Group's European markets and adjusted according to local landscapes. The first MagentaEINS offerings were launched in Slovakia in March, Romania will follow in the next few weeks. In addition, MagentaEINS propositions are scheduled to be introduced in five other markets by the end of the year using the Group's technology leadership to create the best customer experience.

‘Europe included’ for MagentaEINS customers
The MagentaEINS journey continues. With the EU flat rate, Deutsche Telekom is creating a completely new communications offering within 32 countries across Europe, exclusively for its MagentaEINS customers: The "Inlands-3fach-Flat" (domestic 3-fold flat) rate for mobile calls, text messaging and surfing can be used without restriction throughout Europe and covers all calls to Germany and European fixed-line and mobile networks. Once the data allowance has been used up, it is easy to add additional data volumes, even while abroad. Thanks to extensive roaming agreements with partners, high-speed LTE is already available in 23 European countries, and in 37 countries worldwide. The package also includes calls made from home or on the move within Germany to all fixed network and mobile lines within the group of European countries. The EU flat rate has a term of 12 months and costs EUR 10 per month.

MagentaEINS offers Deutsche Telekom customers one-stop mobile and fixed network services. In addition to the attractive price, all MagentaEINS packages include an all-net flat rate for the home, and top LTE surfing speeds on cell phones. Customers can also choose from the different rate plan options, "S," "M," and "L," or customize their own MagentaEINS package.
