Tele2 to launch its brand in 23 Russian regions
OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, started providing mobile services under its brand in Saratov Region on 15 May 2015.
Saratov will become the first of 23 regions where the company will launch the Tele2 brand in 2015. Earlier there were Rostelecom companies that operated in these regions – subsidiaries entered Tele2 following closure of the deal on setting up a new federal operator. By the end of May, Tele2 services will also become available in Volgograd and Irkutsk.
The Tele2 brand launch in Rostelecom’s mobile assets is the most large-scale project on the Russian telecommunications market. The Tele2 arrival to new regions is announced in a massive advertising campaign. In Saratov it kicked off in April. The Tele2 advertising is promoting key principles and the main features of the company’s brand – low prices, simplicity and honesty in contacts with subscribers.
One of the main instruments for attracting new subscribers during the brand’s launch is the certification program. In Saratov Region over 70 thou residents voted for the policy of low prices, honesty and high-quality connections over a month and a half. They own certificates that allow getting 500 rubles when having connected to Tele2.
Mikhail Noskov, CEO at Tele2:
“The brand launch is a thorough work of the company’s all subdivisions. We have entirely rebuilt all business processes, created a new product portfolio, reequipped single-branded stores and switched subscribers to the Tele2 service in regions earlier operated by Rostelecom’s companies. A launch of new regions is a powerful impetus for the Tele2 development. In 2015 we are planning to improve our main indicators, gross intake in the first place.”
Tele2 is offering two profitable tariffs for voice to subscribers in Saratov Region:
the “Orange” tariff. Without subscriber fee with a single price on all incoming call in the regions – 60 kopecks per minute. Billing per second of call, which allows savings on short talks.
the “Pink” tariff implies 30 minutes of calls on a home network free of charge and with no connection fee. A price per a minute of call longer than a set limit – 70 kopecks.
Tele2 has also three package tariffs for users of high-speed wireless Internet – “Black” with a monthly fee of 99 rubles (50 SMS, 1 GB), “Dark Black” with a monthly fee of 200 rubles (350 minutes, 150 SMS, 2 GB), “The Blackest” with a monthly fee of 400 rubles (800 minutes, 800 SMS, 3 GB).
Besides, Tele2 envisaged different tariff options for subscribers who want to use high-speed wireless Internet but are satisfied with a current tariff. For example, the “Internet bag” (5 GB per month) costs 190 rubles per month and the “Internet briefcase” with 10 GB − 250 rubles per month.
