Tele2 brings corporate sales to new level
OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, has formed a new subdivision – a directorate for corporate business development. It will be headed by Maria Chinkova.
Tele2 has set up a directorate for corporate business development. This direction is one of the most important drivers for further growth of the operator’s business. The new directorate will be headed by Maria Chinkova who joined the Tele2 team in May 2015. Earlier Tele2 had a subdivision on operational work with corporate clients – it came under control of Maria Chinkova.
As director for corporate business development, Maria will be in charge of drawing up and implementing a strategy for developing this direction, achieving main efficiency indicators in the segment, keeping the current clients and attracting new ones. Maria is being directly responsible to Deputy CEO Jere Calmes.
Maria Chinkova has a wide experience in telecommunications. Prior to joining the Tele2 team, she held a post of CEO at CJSC Tsentrtranstelecom. After the company had switched to the management structure based on regional branches, Maria headed the consolidated macroregion “Centre and South-East”. At MTS she worked her way up from the head of sector in charge of operations with corporate clients to the commercial officer in charge of cooperation with corporate clients. Maria has graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute having majored in Radio Electronics, she also holds an MBA.
Jere Calmes, Deputy CEO at Tele2:
“Development of operations with medium-sized and large corporate business customers is a strategically important task for Tele2. The company was earlier focused on small businesses. The operator has always supported entrepreneurs with its low prices and high-quality mobile services. Now, when the company holds 3G/4G licenses covering all Russian territory including Moscow we will be able to offer profitable corporate tariffs to large organizations for which federal coverage is essential. I am sure that Tele2 will be successful in competing with other market players as a mobile operator servicing large companies and governmental bodies.”
