Destin plans 15-day Pascagoula gas plant outage

OREANDA-NEWS. May 14, 2015. Destin Pipeline estimates that gas shipments to the 1.5bn cf/d Pascagoula, Mississippi, processing plant will be halted for about 15 days beginning on 19 May.

The outage spurs from planned maintenance at Destin's MP260 offshore platform. No alternate deliveries will be available from offshore receipt points between 19 May and 2 June, the company said in a notice.

The planned restart will depend on the availability of 160mn cf/d of gas flows to sustain pipeline operations. If 160mn cf/d of supply is unavailable from the MP260 platform following the maintenance period, Destin will consider alternative supply points.

Last month BP confirmed plans to sell its stake in the gas processing plant that it co-owns with Enterprise Products Partners. The facility processes more than half of BP's deepwater gas production in the Gulf of Mexico. BP operates the facility.
