Ceres begins Bakken propane transloading

OREANDA-NEWS. Ceres Global AG brought its Northgate propane transloading and storage facility online on the North Dakota-Saskatchewan border last month.

Ceres announced an agreement with commodity marketing and logistics company Elbow River Marketing for NGL transloading and storage services at Ceres' Northgate Commodity Logistics center on 8 May. The company loaded 44 propane rail cars for Elbow River in April.

The rail cars are shipped from Northgate, on the North Dakota-Saskatchewan border, to US markets on BNSF Railway.

The Northgate facility began shipping grain to the US in January, and will eventually ship crude as well.

Ceres is a Toronto-based grain storage and handling and commodity logistics company, which owns nine assets in the US and Canada.

Elbow River specializes in monthly and annual term supply contracts.
