OREANDA-NEWS. On 12 May, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin met with Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway B?rge Brende, who is visiting Ukraine.

“Norway remains Ukraine’s partner and strongly condemns any violation by the Russian Federation of the international law”,- is the main message of the Norwegian Minister.

The two Foreign Ministers stressed the importance of compliance with the Minsk agreements by Moscow and Russia-backed terrorists.

Norway once again confirmed its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Norway reiterated that it is ready to provide humanitarian assistance to internally displaced persons, as well as to render financial aid to ongoing reforms in Ukraine.

Klimkin thanked Brende for the decision to reimburse additional financial assistance in the amount of 5 million euro for the needs of internally displaced persons and praised the allocation of another 35 million euro aid in 2015.

The Ministers gave start to the round table at the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine on “International Best Practice in Humanitarian Assistance”.

The Parties agreed to sign in the near time the Agreement on support of Ukraine’s state budget, by which the Norwegian government will provide 100 million Norwegian crones for the endorsement of the state budget of Ukraine. The prospects of investment cooperation were also discussed.
