OREANDA-NEWS. "Today an issue of preventive security measures in the East of Ukraine is crucial. These are temporary structures, but strongly fortified. These constructions have been tested and we clearly saw that they would be capable to protect the lives and health of our soldiers", explained the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine.

"To date, to execute a decision of the National Security and Defense Council, a decision of the President of Ukraine, 20 regions have been engaged into the activities. The Government has allocated over UAH 850 million, one third of this sum has already been transferred to the accounts of the regional state administrations," said Hennadii Zubko.

According to the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, the construction of the first and second line of the fortifications will be finished in May.

The Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine stressed that Ukraine abides by each point of the Minsk agreements. A ceasefire regime is observed, we are ready to exchange prisoners. There has been signed a law on local self-government in Donetsk and Luhansk regions the Verkhovna Rada adopted. All military equipment has been withdrawn, almost all the volunteer battalions have joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Ukraine is committed and working in the contact groups to ensure ending the conflict.

"On the other hand, we cannot see from the occupied territory by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation deployed on the territory of Ukraine any steps to implement these agreements. An increasing activity in training, accumulation of military equipment at the uncontrolled by Ukraine territory, does not allow us to think only of the Minsk agreements, but to work on the construction of fortifications", summed up Hennadii Zubko.
