OREANDA-NEWS. According to AUTOSTAT data, in 2014 the new motorcycle market in Russia came up to 30,200 vehicles, which is 52.5% more than in 2013. 

We should mention that the first TOP-10 brands in motorcycle segment generate over 70% of the market. Irbis is the leader here with 4,800 vehicles sold in 2014 (+196.5% as compared to 2013). Stels (2,900 vehicles; +65.0%) is on the second and Racer (2,900 vehicles; +150.7%) is on the third places. The fourth place belongs to Yamaha (2,500 vehicles; +19.9%) and Honda (2,000 vehicles; +47.1%) took the fifth place. TOP-10 also includes BMW, Kawasaki, Lifan, Harley Davidson and SYM. 

We should also mention than all brands of the TOP-10 had positive dynamics in 2014. The only exception is Kawasaki (-0.4%). The best dynamics was registered by Irbis (+196.5%) and Racer (+150.7%). 

The Yamaha YBR 125 is the leader in the model lineup of  2014 (1,200 vehicles sold). The second and the third places were taken by Racer models – the RC200 (1,200 vehicles) and RC250 (700 vehicles). 

In the first quarter of 2015 the new motorcycle market came up to 2,100 vehicles, which is 19.6% less than during the same period of the previous year. BMW became the leader with 267 two-wheeled motor vehicles sold in the first quarter of 2015 (+3.5%). Irbis (219 vehicles; -28.4%) is on the second and Yamaha (206 vehicles; -14.5%) is on the third places. The fourth place was taken by Racer (204 vehicles; +161.5%) and Stels (164 vehicles; -33.1%) is the fifth. Then come Honda, Lifan, Kawasaki, Harley Davidson and Suzuki. The best dynamics in January – March 2015 was registered by Racer (+161.5%).

The leader of the model lineup is the same as in 2014 – the Yamaha YBR 125 (108 vehicles; - 16.3%).
