Moldovan government convenes at operative meeting
In the beginning of the meeting, Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici demanded a report of relevant institutions on an explosion that took place in a residential block in the southern Cantemir town today morning. The prime minister asked the competent institutions to act promptly in this case. "I call on all those responsible employees to keep the situation under control and provide the necessary assistance to individuals and families who have suffered in the wake of this explosion," said Chiril Gaburici.
Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici also asked Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Ion Sula for proposals and solutions to identify new sales markets for Moldovan agricultural and food production. "The government must provide markets to local farmers and producers, including equal access to the local market, where they could sell these goods", said the prime minister.
Another topic discussed at the operative meeting was focused on the situation in the Balti municipality, in order to avoid environmental pollution incidents, that might endanger the health of the local residents and economic activity. "I ask the Economics Ministry and Environment Ministry to find solutions to solve this problem and avoid a situation in which more than 2,500 people remain without jobs," reiterated Chiril Gaburici.
At the end of the meeting, the prime minister appealed to all ministries and state institutions, to turn into account the funds provided by foreign partners. "Do your best to use this money effectively and to put it in circulation," concluded the prime minister.
Last week, the cabinet meeting was held at the Defence Ministry. Such meetings are to be organised also at other ministries weekly.
