OREANDA-NEWS. Ford Sollers stopped sales of the Edge middle-size crossover in Russia. The models, which was assembled at the joint enterprise in Yelabuga, has already disappeared from Ford official webpage in Russia and dealers’ sites. 

According to the Association of European Businesses, 779 FordEdge vehicles were sold in Russia in 2014.  This compares to more expensive Explorer, which was bought by 4,175 customers in our country last year, and compact EcoSport with 2,396 vehicles.

As previously reported, in the third quarter of 2015, Ford will start sales of the Fiesta sedan and hatchback in the Russian market.  Both modifications of the model will be produced with CKD method at the modernized Ford Sollers plant in Naberezhnye Chelny.
