OREANDA-NEWS. Huawei was named as a strong performer in The Forrester Wave™: Private Cloud Solutions in China, Q1 2015 report released by Forrester Research Inc, one of the most influential research and advisory firms in the world. Huawei was the only local vendor ranked as a strong performer and its score for market presence was the highest of all vendors evaluated.

For this report, Forrester applied its model, ‘The Forrester Wave™’ methodology, and evaluated vendors in the private cloud space based on current offering, strategy, and market presence, to help corporate enterprise architecture, infrastructure and operations professionals make appropriate choices in their selection for private cloud solutions partners.

Huawei is the only China-based vendor which ranked as a ‘strong performer’. Huawei believes that this represents the maturity of its FusionCloud solutions and the excellence performance across different market segments. Huawei also had the highest score for market presence among those evaluated.

In the report, Forrester believes that private clouds are not simply virtualized data centers, but require an array of technology including advanced virtualization, standardization and automation, monitoring, and resource usage tracking capabilities. Huawei’s FusionCloud solutions have strong capabilities in role-based administration and governance, template building and automation. The solutions also focus on building a strong strategy for distribution cloud data centers. Forrester identified Huawei as one of the private cloud solution providers with competitive options.

Mr. Ren Zhipeng, President, Cloud Computing Product Line, Huawei, said, “The Forrester report evaluated emerging private cloud solution vendors in China, and Huawei are proud to be highlighted for their FusionCloud solutions.”

China is becoming a driving force in the world for customer communications, as such, local firms require proficient and flexible IT services to improve customer satisfaction and time-to-market. Organizations are looking for private clouds to convert their existing data centers and help them migrate into the digital era.

At the beginning of 2014, Huawei had more than 500 cloud computing partners and provided services to more than 500 clients across 40 countries. The major customers include China Mobile, Vodafone, BME Spain Exchanges, CCTV and China National Petroleum Corporation.
