OREANDA-NEWS. MAYKOR donated special-purpose automatic tonometers to the Penza-based Voskhod enterprise of the All Russia Association of the Blind. Funds for this purchase were raised by the company's workers as part of the corporate volunteering program. This event was arranged to coincide with the 90th anniversary of the All Russia Association of the Blind.

Tonometers at work sites in the production shops shall ensure prompt health monitoring of Voskhod's staff. The equipment was specifically adapted for the visually-impaired. It offers voice accompaniment of measurement results and easy-to-use controls.

"We perform a number of activities to support organizations and people who strive to work despite any difficulties. This correlates with the strategy and values of our company. This is one of the key social policy components of MAYKOR, and we are glad that our workers promote the corporate volunteering program on their own initiative," ¬comments Irina Semenova, MAYKOR's Vice President for Marketing.

Collaboration of MAYKOR and Voskhod commenced in 2014 with the "Charity Instead of Souvenirs" campaign: corporate souvenirs gave way to knitwear produced by the enterprise. The funds saved on the production of conventional customer gifts were spent by MAYKOR to supply staff of Voskhod with radios and computers to ensure better efficiency of its back-office.
