OREANDA-NEWS. The Bank of Moscow has won IT-LEADER National Annual Award, according to the results of 2014 in "Banks with state participation" category. The winners were awarded for "outstanding contribution to the development of information technologies in Russia". For the Bank of Moscow the award at the ceremony was received by the Board Member Sergey Mednov, curating the Bank's IT Department.

Recently the Bank of Moscow has become one of the leaders in the market of e-commerce and mobile financial services: there has been created a unique mobile platform, allowing the Banks and independent developers to launch a variety of mobile applications for customers of any bank (the total number of downloads has exceeded 500,000), and the Bank itself has entered the TOP-7 of banks in the market of Internet acquiring according to the results of 2014 (with a market share of 7 % and turnover of 22.7 billion roubles).

The processing centre of the Bank of Moscow is considered one of the best ones in the Russian market. Only during 2014 the centre carried out more than 170 million financial transactions and it is currently operating with 45 banks-agents.

Information technologies of the Bank of Moscow have recently reached a new level as well. During 2014 there were sold more than 2,500 activities and improvements in various IT systems of the Bank; Internet banking systems for retail and corporate customers were significantly modernized.

"The award received by me is, of course, the result of work of the Bank's employees (namely, many thousands of them), as well as individual units, engaged in IT and e-commerce. I am very pleased that such awards were won by the best players in the market," said Sergey Mednov.

It is worth noting that the Bank of Moscow won the nomination by voting both in Runet, and among the members of the Award Expert Council.
