Banks reduce the share of car loans
OREANDA-NEWS. According to a survey conducted by the Banki.ru portal, the majority of participants of the rating decreasing the share of car loans in the retail portfolio in the second half of 2014. The greatest reduction was observed at Evroplan Bank (99.06% as of July 2014 to 87.12% as of January of 2015). Also UniCredit Bank (falling share from 53.22% to 46.54%) and Credit Europe Bank (from 44.86% to 39.81%) stand out.
Decline in the share of car loans was recorded in the bank's portfolio "Baltika" (from 9.93% to 8.02%).
In addition, Raiffeisenbank, which was the member of the top ten ranking in terms of portfolio, left the market of car loans.
There are notable banks against the general background that increased the share of car loans. They are Plus Bank (growth for the second half of 2014 by 14.39 percentage points to 90.46%), IMoneyBank (an increase of 11.06 % to 70.88%), Pervobank (an increase of 4.51% to 51.33%) and Setelem Bank (growing share by 3.56 p. p. to 81.38%).
Within the study of Banki.ru there were considered the volumes of car loans of portfolios, the level of arrears on them, as well as the volume of withdrawals and the number of car loans in Moscow, Moscow region and other regions by the end of 2014.
There were participated 51 credit institutions in the ranking (given the fact that the group of Sberbank Russia consists of Sberbank and Setelem Bank).
