OREANDA-NEWS. During the examination of financial standing of the credit institution, the provisional administration of OJSC GB Simbirsk appointed by Bank of Russia Order No. OD-3163, dated 11 November 2014, due to the revocation of its banking licence, revealed that operations (deals) bearing the evidence of diverting assets from the bank through issuing loans to a group of borrowers with dubious creditworthiness connected with the former management of the bank in the amount of 187.8 million rubles.

Besides, the provisional administration revealed facts of preference of the principal owner's claim satisfaction with prejudice to the interests of other creditors through concluding agreements on reassignment (cession) of assets, real to collect, in the amount of about 27.6 million rubles.

The inspection established that the value of assets of OJSC GB Simbirsk did not exceed 594.5 million rubles while its obligations to creditors amounted to 650 million rubles.

Under these circumstances, on 12 February 2015, the Arbitration Court of the Ulyanovsk Region adjudicated to recognise OJSC GB Simbirsk as insolvent (bankrupt) and to initiate bankruptcy proceedings. The state corporation Deposit Insurance Agency was appointed as a receiver.

The Bank of Russia submitted the information on financial transactions bearing the evidence of the criminal offence conducted by the former management and owners of OJSC GB Simbirsk to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for consideration and procedural decision making.
