OREANDA-NEWS.  According to the evaluation of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", for the first quarter of 2015 from Russia to Kazakhstan and Belarus it has left about 40 thousand new cars. Approximately 30,000 crossed the border of Kazakhstan and about 10 thousand gone to Belarus. As a result, in both countries of Customs union the number of registered new cars increased significantly (Kazakhstan + 47%; Belarus + 129%), and local dealers have missed a decent amount of their sales.

According to the director of the agency "AUTOSTAT", Sergey Tselikov, the main reason for the fact – is a significant difference in prices for cars, which occurred due to the devaluation of the ruble against the major currencies. Kazakhs and Belarusians went for cars in Russia in December and the whole first quarter this process was at a standstill. "Now the price difference is beginning to level off, as due to the strengthening of the ruble, so by changing the policy of importers. As a result, the flow of new cars in Kazakhstan and Belarus begins to decline”, - says Mr. Tselikov.

According to AUTOSTAT, the most popular in Belarus at the end of 2014 and the beginning of 2015 were Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Renault and Volkswagen of Russian assembly. And in Kazakhstan, in addition to these popular brands, there were bought more actively cars LADA, Toyota, UAZ and Chevrolet. Analysts also state that in addition to new vehicles, over the last four months to the country customs union has left a large number of duty-free used cars.
