OREANDA-NEWS. April 28, 2015. The monitoring committee of the PARE 1+1 Programme today approved financing 49 investment projects amounting to 9.3 million lei, according to sources in the Economics Ministry.

Deputy Prime Minister, Economics Minister Stephane Bride said that the PARE 1+1 Programme, as being successful, represented a good example for orientation towards European standards. "Moreover, by supporting innovational projects of entrepreneurs, we develop business environment in the country and keep human potential at home, especially, young people, as well as we contribute to returning to Moldova of people who are working abroad", he said.

The official also noted that the programme further needed a promotion both in Moldova and abroad, especially, in the settlements where Moldovans were working.

The director of the Organisation for Development of Small and Middle Enterprises (ODIMM), Iulia Iabanji, pointed out that 217 cases worth about 40 million lei were submitted now. "Given that 30 million lei is scheduled in the 2015 budget for supporting investment projects, via the PARE Programme, ODIMM is in the process of identifying potential donors, which could be partners to back projects submitted by migrants back home or their relatives".

According to a study carried out by ODIMM, in 2010-2014, about 1,100 people were trained via the PARE Programme in the business sector, and 504 enterprises benefitted from grant amounting to 200,000 lei.
