For the year Russians spent at gas stations 2.7 trillion rubles
OREANDA-NEWS. According to the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", the volume of fuel consumption by road transport in 2014 was 65.5 million Tons (84 billion Liters). In monetary terms, by focusing on average retail prices of gasoline and diesel fuel, the volume is 2.7 trillion rubles.
Slightly less than half (46.3%) of this amount was used by passenger cars, and the rest - for commercial vehicles (48.5%), buses (5%) and motorcycles (0.2%). "In terms of fuel consumption, the difference between private and commercial vehicles are now about 50% to 50%, and between gasoline and diesel it is almost 60% to 40%”, - commented the director of AUTOSTAT, Sergei Tselikov, this study.
According to him, the growth rate of the vehicle parc in Russia (4-5% per year) is now higher than the increase in fuel consumption in liters (2-3%). It is the impact of reduction of runs and increase of parc with more efficient engines. But in terms of money all the way is around. Over the last year Russians spent at gas stations almost 10% more money than in 2013, as gasoline prices rose by 7%, and diesel fuel increased in price over the year by 6%.
