Indo-US Clean Energy Research and Development Centre in Progress
OREANDA-NEWS. April 23, 2015. The Minister of State for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, Shri Y.S. Chowdary has said that a Project Monitoring Committee that visited Jawaharlal Nehru Technological Institute (JNTU) last month found that progress on the project for production of commercially viable bio-fuel ethanol was satisfactory.
In a written reply in the Lok Sabha today, he said a Joint Agreement was signed in 2010 and the project -“U.S.-India Consortium for Development of Sustainable Advanced Lignocellulosic Biofuel Systems” was awarded to Bio-fuel Consortium led by the Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad and JNTU as one of the partners. He said JNTU has not reported any problem due to lack of any lab facility.
