OREANDA-NEWS. On 22 April TVEL Fuel Company (a subsidiary of ROSATOM), the National Atomic Energy Commission of Argentina and INVAP S.E., a design and construction company wholly owned by the government of Rio Negro (Argentina), have signed two memorandums of understanding as part of the official visit of Kristina Kirchner, President of the Republic of Argentina, to Moscow.

The documents were signed in the presence of the Argentinean President Kristina Kirchner and Julio de Vido, Argentinean Minister of Federal Planning, Public Investment and Services.

The Memorandums were signed by TVEL Vice President Felix Abolenin of the Russian part, Norma Boero, President of the Argentinean National Atomic Energy Commission, and H?ctor Eduardo Otheguy, CEO of INVAP S.E., of the Argentinean part.

The documents provide for a broad cooperation and joint initiatives in the field of nuclear energy, including deliveries of low-enriched uranium fuel and its components for the research and power reactors in Argentina, supplies of TVEL-manufactured zirconium components of the nuclear fuel cycle, and joint research and development projects. The parties undertake to establish a bilateral working group to represent all stakeholders.
