OREANDA-NEWS. John McFarlane, Chairman of Aviva plc, has received the FTSE 100 award in the 2015 Non-Executive Director Awards.

These awards were established in 2006 to recognise the achievements of Non-Executive Directors who contribute daily to the success and growth of businesses and Not-for-Profit organisations across the UK.

The citation for John McFarlane’s award highlights his “exceptionally focused and strategic management style” and remarks that “his no-nonsense approach to running businesses and clear views on how to best structure a Board were evident throughout his time at Aviva.”
