OREANDA-NEWS. The Forest Branch of Ilim Group in Koryazhma has started preparation for the upcoming fire season.

Ilim Group as a responsible forest manager allocates significant funds annually for its fire safety efforts at the leased timberlands in the regions where it operates.

As part of these preparation efforts, the Mill will purchase additional equipment, including portable firefighting units, trailer mounted fire pumps, and firefighting tools worth a total of about RUB 22 mln.

Ilim Group also plans to build over 6.5 km of fire roads, create 245 km and perform maintenance of 415 km of firebreaks, install 130 fire hazard warning signs, and equip 85 designated smoking areas.

All fire prevention activities implemented by Ilim Group on its concessions are performed in compliance with current legislation.
